Day 9 – Lost Together

I am thoroughly exhausted, so I’ll make this quick. Got my hour, fumbled through some plot, but going blind and tired from so much work today and then writing tonight.

Can’t say it went all that well — I seemed to have slipped out of the voice I found. Need to get back onto those rails again. But I got it done, and that’s the main point.

One other note — found an interesting blog about novel writing earlier this evening: I didn’t get much chance to explore it, but it seems like a wealth of good advice. I’ll be delving into it a bit more as I go along here.

Good night.

(Interesting — five out of nine days, the daily totals have been within 100 words of each other, and three days are within one…)

Going to check out that site now. Reminds me, do you read Larry Brooks’ Storyfix? That’s one of my very favorite blogs about creative writing (well worth reading right back from the first posts), and from a very fine writer in creative and commercial pursuits, too. Check it out, when you’re plot’s not plaguing you too much and you have a minute…

    Thanks for the tip!

I purposely avoided reading novel-writing blogs until I had a fairly strong sense of where I wanted to go with this one. I know this will evolve over time, but now that I’m pretty much set in the format, I’ve been casually poking around to see what else is out there. I’ll definitely check out that one.
